A Very Nice 1950’s Cyma Flex
The Cymaflex model was introduced by Cyma in 1939 as a protective device fitted over the balance to help absorb shocks, in a similar way to the Incabloc and Kif systems. This is a particularly nice example of the Cymaflex with a very well-preserved dial furnished with gold-coloured applied furniture including arrowhead hour markers, quarter Arabic numerals, leaf hands and a sub-seconds recessed counter at 6 o’clock. The Cyma signature sits at 12 o’clock and corresponds with the signed crown.
