Extremely rare Jaeger LeCoultre Master Mariner E557/1 with black dial, from 1960’s .

The watch is all original, in good condition for a watch it’s age and keeps time exceptionally well.

This is one of the very rare black dialled Master Mariner’s with full manufacturer signature on the dial. There are a fair few Master Mariner’s that are signed LeCoultre only and for the American market. This piece is for the European Market, hence the fully signed dial – Jaeger LeCoultre.

Inside the watch ticks the wonderful Jaeger LeCoultre calibre K883, this is the most accurate movement I have ever owned. This movement is famous for being the heart of the Geomatic, albeit adjusted and chronometer certified.

NOTE: The watch is working but it needs service as it has some parts of the movement changed with non original ones.
