ROLEX AIR KING REF 5500
The Air King was introduced by Rolex in the 1940s to pay respect to the Royal Air Force pilots who took part in the Battle of Britain.
This example remains in really great condition, with a strong case and bezel. The black dial is perfect, with nice shiny Grey text and interesting hour markers. The lume in the hands is a nice match with the lume plots. The bracelet is a rivet link Oyster bracelet reference 7835, with a clasp stamped ‘A’ and ref 357 end links, that is in good condition. The watch has been fully checked by our watchmaker.
